As you can see the North looks to have more and in some cases greater advantages. The fact that the north's military power was so much stronger greatly benefited them, even if the south had more heart to fight pure military strength defeated them. If you look at the battles and how close the north was to losing and then look at the advantages you may ask how they almost lost? The military leaders and the troops were better trained on the land and knew how to outsmart the enemy. In our museum we have comparisons on the strategies used in the Civil War.
